The needeles just fall out all the time until you set the allan key screw in the handle. No instructions to tell you that though.

You’re right, the needles may need to be secured with the allen key in the handle if they come loose. We can see how that could be missed without clear instructions, so we’ll get this added to the product page to make it clearer.

Wish I’d bought one of these years ago. Beautifully made, & has spare needles incase one ends up bent. Superfast postage too, will be ordering again.

It's pleasing when you get a gadget that makes things better. I never checked my grind for lumps. I'm now a converted user of a WDT tool. On top of that, quality stares you in the face. Extremely well made.
Nice tool, really improves the final result
Great tool, only feedback is there isn’t much clearance at the bottom so if you pull it straight down the needles hit the bench.
Small form factor though and it’s just a minor complaint, you can fold/snap the tool to remove it which solves this.
The WDT tool works great breaking up clumps and evenly spreading the grinds. The magnetic stand stores the tool nicely.
Works perfectly as intended, magnet is strong but you can use it with one hand easily. Shipped out and was delivered promptly
Made a bigger difference than I expected. A few seconds of stirring before tamping and my channeling issues improved a lot! shots pull way more evenly now. Super sturdy and quality build, handle feels solid and the needles hold their alignment well. Highly recommend.

Not a fan of the magnetic holder.... to small to fit tool into.... also the stand becomes top heavy .

I bought a bottomless filter without one of these - i thought you didn't really need one - that it was just a gimmick. its not. its is entirely useful and i'm now cranking out consistent and delicious coffee everytime. If you don't know what there are good for - just get one. you won't regret it. Magnetic stand is sturdy and nice looking too.

This WDT is great. Much better than the 'cool switchblade' type. It is rigid enough to break up any clumps and gentle enough to spread the coffee evenly around the portafilter
