Beautiful portafilter, nice quality wood and feel in hand. Decent weight to it without being too heavy and fits my 21g basket no problem.

I always thought tapping the portafilter was good enough. But I was looking for a dosing ring and stumbled on Hypergrind. The aesthetics attracted me enough to peruse the site, and I ended up buying a magnetic ring and the gravity distributor tool. Tamping is so much easier and more consistent with a truly flat bed of grinds. I was surprised to find that at least in the Bambino portafilter, the gravity distributor works perfectly with the dosing ring still in place, so I can be very sloppy and still get a perfect bed with no spillage. Very useful for that first morning cappuccino.
Great upgrade from my original portafilter and basket. I’ve been able to adjust how I extract the coffee. Very happy.
