Teamed with an open/naked group set not only looks amazing but it extracts the best brew coffee shot every time, with reach crema true to quality beens I use. A must upgrade for any decent machine and all coffe buffs/fanatics, my 16 years old dual boiler absolutely benefited from it, basket’s unique filter design enhances the extraction and water flow for an amazingly tasty cuppa.

I didn’t expect a gold coffee basket to change my life, but here we are. Hypergrind really said, “What if we made your Breville taste like it finally went to university and got its degree in Flavour Extraction?”

The moment I swapped in this Precision Coffee Basket, my BES881 basically looked at me like, “Oh… so THIS is what we’re doing now.” Suddenly my shots went from “yeah that’s fine” to “why does this taste like a café just opened in my kitchen?”

The dual‑layer design with its 1,160 fancy droplet holes and 64 inner micro‑holes? I don’t know what kind of wizardry that is, but it works. The extraction is smoother, sweeter, and more balanced than my life choices. Bitter notes? Gone. Channeling? Not on this basket’s watch. It’s like the coffee grounds are finally cooperating instead of staging a rebellion.

And the flavour… wow. If you’re chasing the absolute most out of your beans and want your Breville to stop holding back like it’s shy on a first date, this is the upgrade. Forget new grinders, forget new machines this basket is the single biggest improvement I’ve made to my setup.

Plus, it’s gold. Which means my espresso now tastes 7% fancier purely through psychological osmosis.

If you’re on the fence, just get it. Your taste buds will thank you, your Breville will thank you, and you’ll wonder why you spent so long pretending the stock basket was “good enough.”

It’s terrible, it does not pour as it supposed to. If your cup is not directly under it coffee goes everywhere and even when it is directly under coffee still goes everywhere. I wouldn’t waste money buying it , it’s junk. It also is wearing terrible as there’s no spring , just a total waste of money.
